This year we decided to live stream the Starlighting Ceremony in Castle Rock. For those who are unfamiliar with the event and/or Castle Rock might be scratching your head but in reality, it’s a really big deal, at last to us small town folk.

Star lighting goes back to 1936. It was a way to raise spirits during the great depression and has since grown to become to largest event of the year with thousands of people from all over the state attending.

I invite you to join in the celebration by tuning in live this Saturday at 5pm here:

Welcome to

SJ-N has absolutely no meaning to me with the exception that it has an ‘S’ in the domain name. The reason for using this domain as my official blog is because it’s a cool, short domain and with time, might gain some meaning, but for now…

My name is Sean Hakes, take a few moments to get to know me.

I’m an internet marketer of almost 14 years and own a small yet successful local media publication, Castle Rock Community News which is also known as CRCO for Castle Rock

I have a lot of interest so while my blog may not seem focused, it really is. I enjoy everything from marketing to hanging out with my kids so you’ll likely find some topic in-between.

Feel free to join in the conversation and thanks for visiting!
